The Health 2020 database is an important and rich source of research data, that has been collected over a period of more than 15 years. The Cancer Epidemiology Centre of the Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) is keen to integrate all their data collections into a standards compliant and flexible form which will serve now and into the future. After an extensive tender process, CCV chose Ocean Informatics and its
openEHR compliant product suite to provide the solution.
Director, Dr Hugh Leslie stated, "This project will enable Ocean to showcase the capacity of the
openEHR archetypes and templates in combination with the Ocean suite of tools to integrate disparate collections of data into a single repository so that the meaning of the data is clear and can be queried effectively by researchers. We are confident that this project will provide the basis for ongoing collaboration with CCV and similar organisations facing the same issues of managing their valuable data collections into the future."
