Archetype Editor
The Archetype Editor is used by expert clinicians to develop archetypes for use in clinical and research settings.
It enables users to create archetypes based on the underlying openEHR achetype Reference Model without the needing to be aware of 'what is under the hood'.
Features include:
- Supporting metadata about the archetype can be integrated in the archetype.
- All data elements can be entered via an intuitive drag-and-drop interface and are constrained to make them 'fit for purpose' eg adding units and minimum/maximum values.
- Each archetype can be translated within the Editor into any language, including all data elements and associated meta data.
- Each data element name can be linked to a terminology code, plus value sets can be constrained at the archetype level from within the Editor, where appropriate.
Using the Editor, Archetypes can be created for any openEHR class, including Compositions, Sections, Entries (comprising Observations, Evaluations, Actions, Instructions, and AdminEntry), and Clusters. These archetypes can be used in a CEN 13606 environment, and translated to schemas or constraints for use with other data formats such as HL7 CDA.
Archetypes are saved in both openEHR standard ADL (Archetype Definition Language) and openEHR AOM (Archetype Object Model) XML.
